I keep forgetting to post these, although there is not a great deal of nice sparkling gold, there is around $40 in gold coins and small change, most of it came from the Mt main beach,in the early hours before the crowds gather.
Interesting story here as I was detecting a gut approached me and asked if I had found his nieces
engagement ring, turns out she lost it in the wee hours while celebrating, well the next 3 hours were spent trying to locate it,in the time I was doing this I was approached by 3 other people all looking for lost items,One was a gold ring that was lost further up the beach, another was looking for his wallet and iphone which he had left in a plastic bag.....duhh,and the final person had lost his car keys.
Although I tried I could not find any of these lost items, which is a shame as the girl was pretty distraught. Some of the items came from the Paeroa race course, unfortunatly the wee heart shaped pendant is not silver but looks good......
Nice assortment Jim and good story too.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to do well on the MT beaches.
Good job on the hunt. Sounds like a lot of good target left on that beach to still find.
ReplyDeleteJim, have you called Alan on those items? maybe he found some ?
ReplyDeleteHave you got details from people and locations where they lost items?
Have council sand sifter machines went through the beach before you came ?
Thanks guys.Max, the guy on the beach groomer is a bit secretive about what he picks up (wonder why?).And yip Alan has all the details he is very honest and will return them if found.
