Learning to drive the Etrac

Oh boy, slowly getting the knack of the new machine, old age is no help either. So easy just to pick up the Xterra instead, but I have to remember it took me 6 months to master it.
The beach is a bit harder at the moment but the tide is getting more favourable as the week goes on
the photo shows a few bits found at either the beach and a  local park, nothing to startling 3 rings they all look nice and sparkling but alas cheap and nasty, funny about the gas welding tip found at the park around 6" deep. Thanks for your comments regards the Etrac.

  1. I am a bit jealous of you getting out hunting during the week Jim. LOL I found one of those gas tips a while back too.

  2. You will learn to love the etrac I'm sure... I've been playing with mine for seven months or so and it gets better and better... what at the beginning is a sound... a tone .. after a while becomes a whole story.. the information that it has the potential to give you is amazing.. its all part of the fun , predicting what you digging up based on what you hear .. what your pinpointing tells you..good fun!

  3. Every new machine is a new learning curve, especially one as sophisticated as the Etrac. It won't be long until you are amongst the real treasure I'm sure!

  4. Not long to go till Labour weekend and people start swimming and spending more time at the park and beaches and finds will increase.

I bet by Xmas you will have that Etrac down to a pat and the poor 705 will be feeling very left out!
